Characteristics:

– Trend has no real bearing. Can be down, or sideways.
– First day and second day open are the same.
– Usually news happens between days.
– The price never goes back to the previous days price.

Notes:

– Larger candlesticks usually indicate a more forceful reversal.
– Gap between close and open, further enhances the reversal.
