Characteristics:

• Downward trend
• First candlestick is a continuation of the downward trend from the day before.
• The second candlestick will “gap” down and then form a doji.
• Third candlestick will “gap” up and continue upward.

Notes:

• The longer the shadows of the doji, the more chance for reversal.
• The first and third candlesticks do not have to open and close at the same level.
