Ok, so my kid showed me this youtube video that is a spoof of energy commercials, which I thought was pretty funny.

When I showed it to a friend of mine who actually does work out though, he said that the funny looking green man in the video is a real person. I thought it was just a funny graphic that they made up, but apparently not. I will first post the video and then the link to another blog that has the images.

Here is how to find humor in not-so-funny stuff. Before long, you will have people laughing a lot at your presentation without telling jokes. Below are some ways to get people to laugh.

Steps

1.	Set the scene for laughter. If you want to lighten up your program, you might want to let the audience know this, even before you say one word. Project some lighthearted visuals as the audience is entering the room. Play some uplifting music as they enter. Or, add some humor to your presentation title or program description. Your bio, for example, can have a list of accomplishments, playfully followed by “His mother is very proud of him.”

2.	Poke fun at yourself. Again, even before you open your mouth, you can show the audience that you do not take yourself too seriously by adding some playful things about you in your introduction. For example, have the introducer tell the audience that you are the author of seven books which have sold well over 30 copies. Then the person corrects their mistake and says, “Oops, that is 300,000 copies.”

3.	Get some laughs with a prop. It has been said that learning is enhanced with visual aids. If this is true, then speakers need to enhance their talks with something to visually illustrate what they are saying. A prop is a great way to do this because it not only makes your message memorable but it can also get a laugh. Use balloons to illustrate how people can let go of their stress; an inflatable globe to illustrate how we often carry the world around on our shoulders; and a plastic hammer with which to hit yourself on the head when you goof up. All make a point and all get a laugh.

4.	Tell your humorous stories. Open your humor eyes and ears and look and listen for the funny things that happen all around you. Families are an especially good resource for finding humorous stories. One such story involves the author’s 93-year-old mother. Every time she goes to the doctor, she hires a van service to take her there and back. One late afternoon, it did not show up to take her home. Since the doctor had to close the office for the day, he suggested that she wait for the van in the pizza parlor next door. After waiting a long time without the van arriving, she went up to the counter and asked, “Do you deliver?” When the man behind the counter replied, “Of course, we do. We’re a pizza place.” She said, “Great. Then I’d like a pepperoni pizza and I’d like to go with it.”

5.	Borrow some witty words. While waiting for your own humor-related stories to appear, you might want to borrow some funny short quotes from famous people to lighten up your talks. Quotation books, the TV, newspapers, and magazines such as Reader’s Digest are great resources for locating great quotes. For instance, if you frequently speak to hospice groups, Woody Allen’s comments about death and dying are appropriate (e.g., “There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman?”).

6.	Collect audience anecdotes. Sometimes audiences say the funniest things. When they do, write it down. It could be a big laugh in your next presentation. For years, I have been asking audiences, “How do you spell relief?” My answer is “L-A-U-G-H”. Then one day a woman in the back row called out, “D-I-V-O-R-C-E.” It got a huge laugh for her that day and continues to get a laugh for me when I retell it.

7.	Remember the bottom line. For non-humorists, some of the ideas presented here may seem too frivolous for your subject matter. Nevertheless, I would still encourage you to seek some way of upping the entertainment value of your talks because it might also increase what you can charge. As Steve Allen once noted, “People will pay more to be entertained than educated.”

8.	Make it relevant. One final word about using humor in your presentations–make sure it is relevant. Amusing an audience for the sake of getting a laugh might be ideal for a stand-up comedian or an after-dinner humorist but it’s probably not okay for most speakers. If your humor does not make a point or have a purpose, do not use it!

Tips

·	When speaking to a group of people, sweep the room with your eyes so that everybody pays attention to you

·	In sweeping the room, periodically make eye contact for a few moments with one person, then with another – don’t appear too animated and speak to that person as though they were the whole room, then break contact and look at someone else.

·	In Powerpoint presentations or similar situations, use crudely drawn pictures you threw together in MS Paint (or similar program). Make it quite obvious that you are not an artist with stick figures, incoherent blobs, and poorly drawn simple pictures, all with the brush tool. No predefined shapes, text tools, or anything of that sort. The idea of this is that you threw this picture together in paint in 30 seconds. Present it as you would any other slide, starting off with “this diagram I put together…” or anything that mentions that you did it.

Warnings

·	Be careful while poking fun at yourself (step 2). If you do it, do it without losing credibility, or else no one will take the rest of your presentation seriously.

·	Do not dress funny for, let’s say a presentation. That is a surefire way for people not to take what you say seriously. You should be able to make people laugh and still get your message across. If you look like a clown you will be perceived as a clown.

Funny romance stories always make for a great time. Romance and humor is simply an unbeatable combination. Being funny comes naturally to many and if you are like me, you have to have some memorized quotes just in case you have to crack a joke. There is nothing to joke about when it comes to romance. It is serious business which can even be scary. I’m sure you have read stories of romance that you did not find funny at all; thank God we will not focus on the sad romance tales. Funny romance is pretty much common in society. There are so many historical romance books and novels that have great funny stuff. Being funny is no laughing matter. There are several serious reasons why you should consider reading or writing such literary work with a comic twist. First, as a reader, you will get to live longer. You will not just live longer for laughing to death but, because of romance that goes with it. Statistics have shown that people, who are romantic or engage in serious flirting, live longer than those who decided to be cold fish. This does not warrant you to go cheating on your wife; it is perfectly okay to be romantic and flirtatious with her. However, the flirtation part might need some work.

If you are like me and do not like large books so called literary romance, you can read funny romance articles just like this one. Romance will be communicated in so many ways including through quotes, sayings, poems, short stories and so on. I’m sure you have come across funny love quotes. For example, there is one that always manages to make me smile. It talks about how you should dread an institution. The institution in question is for you to decide. The quote is about romance and marriage and it goes like this ‘marriage is an institution and I’m not ready for an institution’. It is a comical way to confirm some of the fears that young people have when it comes to marriage life. There is another funny romance quote which people who are a bit on the fatty side might find insulting. A lover says to her girlfriend ‘ you are my world and everything in it’. Depending on how your partner takes the compliment, you might just be still alive to tell the romance tale. Sometimes, using funny pictures does the job of making things funny when it comes to romance.

Pictures of animals will have a measure of innocence and coupled with great captions, you can be in a position to send the person you love some great romantic messages. Being funny is not complicated; it is the everyday thing that you twist, to become fit for a laugh. When you make someone smile, the message will be home. For writers, it can be awfully hard to produce a funny romance tale that will make you laugh through out. May be, laughing through out is not realistic. Therefore, look for the good romance material that is funny and, appreciate it for what it is. You can always try your hand at writing, if you are a funny guy, you will definitely be discovered; in a positive light of course.

Not only is Wrath of the Lich King bringing a lot of new gold making opportunities into the World of Warcraft, it’s bringing a lot of new cash. All of the new quests pay at least 4 gold each and there are hundreds of them. There’s also lots of vendor junk to sell, in addition to the good stuff, so even players not interested in gold will have hundreds of gold to their names. For those who are interested there is an opportunity here.

So there’s a pretty fair quantity of new items for the gold grind and a pretty fair amount of new cash coming into the game. Prices for items will vary from Horde to Alliance and server to server, but people will have gold and you’ll be selling stuff to these people.

Do you like to farm for your gold?

Northrend herbs start at 30-40 gold a stack and go up from there. Don’t forget the other Azerothian herbs, either. Outland herbs aren’t going for much, but all the other herbs required for inscription inks are selling at a very good price.

Cobalt and Saronite ore look like they’re running 40-50 gold a stack and Titanium is just grim right now. Mining is always a good money maker and all the ores sell well, even the “old world” ores.

You are going to be killing a lot of critters on your travels through Northrend, you might as well skin them. You will make plenty of gold by collecting all those skins, even if the prices drop.

Hungry? With all the new cooking achievements, and food buffs, in the game food items that you gather (Mammoth meat, Shoveltusk flank, etc.) will sell. So will recipes, though some of the new ones are “bind on pickup.”

Back to the Auction House

So what price do you pick when you post your items on the Auction House? You will need to study your particular server to answer that, but it’s not hard to find out. I use Auctioneer Advanced (google it,) but while that addon is very nice it’s not essential.

Auctioneer will give you some good info on market prices, but you can also observe prices yourself. If there are a bunch of stacks of an herb or ore going for 30 gold per stack then if you come in way above that your stuff won’t sell. Come in much lower and you are cheating yourself out of some serious gold.

People fellow certain patterns when they by stuff and you should keep this in mind. Scribes will frequently by a dozen stacks, or more, of herbs at one time. Leatherworkers and blacksmiths will buy up piles of skins and ores. In either case they want to make a bunch of something or powerlevel their skill. So they buy a ton of stuff and work their skills.

Since they are buying a lot at any one time you don’t need to undercut everyone’s price when posting your stuff. Find out what the full stacks are selling for, at the low end, and then post yours above those, by 10 to 20%. They will still sell. Experiment with a few at a higher price and see if those sell.

Only post a few stacks of your inventory at one time. Store the surplus. The reason is that if you post 20 stacks of something and someone undercuts your price with a lot of their own stuff you are locked out, unless you want to manually cancel each auction and repost it.

Post enough of you inventory, at any one time, that you can make money, but not so much that it gets locked up when someone undersells your stuff.

It’s funny sometimes… You see a game where one person posts his items and then he and three or four others will alternately undercut each other by pennies. Then someone comes along and dumps a pile of that item, undercutting everyone by 60%. Then one of two things happens: his stuff gets bought out by another seller (maybe me, for resale) or the price creep game starts again at the new, lower, price.

Buy it out? If someone posts a bunch of stuff at a way low price, and you are confident that item sells well at a higher price, buy out the low priced stuff and post it at the higher price. Store some if it’s a lot of stuff.

Store that Stuff With Massive Bank Space?

Make a private guild, just for your banker/mule. Start it up like any other guild, then kick everyone out when it’s ready to go. It is also probably a good idea if you let them know your plans (to kick them out) ahead of time. Bribery (2-5 gold per signature) will get sign-ups a lot faster.

Once done you have access to that nice, large, guild bank. Sometimes people will even sell their guilds and you can avoid the full of the charter process.

Now that you have the space to store stuff and you have an idea of how to price things, it’s time to go make some gold!

All funny pictures exist to make us laugh and feel good. It’s such a relief to know that there are thousands of websites posting hilarious, droll, crazy or silly images. But the most popular and sought after by most of the people are the celeb pics, especially celebrity nip slip funny pictures.

Why are there so many funny stuff websites and what do they want from us? That’s easy: funny staff sites are the future of the entertainment of the internet. For instance, uvug.com clearly states on its home page that it is in the business of “the funniest videos, photos, ebay auctions, and any other weird stuff we find’. These sites have non-commercial purposes and what’s more the funny pictures and others alike are all for free. Sure, they have sponsors who place banners on their sites and it would be a courtesy from us seeing what they are all about. But for the rest, this is what webmasters of funny pictures sites would like from us: view, giggle, or burst into laughter… maybe find a good tip or two… download whatever we find interesting, humorous or worthy to be send to the others… then walk away in a good mood. That’s it!

Entertainment sites have many categories of funny stuff. So anyone can choose from funny pictures or videos with animals, babies or celebs, games, jokes, fights, deals or George Bush. If try to make a statistics, you’ll find that the most prosperous and abounding of all categories would be the one showing celebs pics. Why? Common, it’s not everyday you see a celebrity without makeup, smoking, eating with a big wide-open mouth or giving the finger. And what’s more, the entire masculine community in the universe and the Hollywood gossip would kill to have the hottest and up-to-the-minute celebrity nip slip funny pictures.

Celebrity nip slips are considered more or less accidentally revealed. Although the degree of intentionality with some of the celebs is to be argued. Since all the celebs, especially female celebs, are constantly chased by armies of paparazzi, it is quite normal after all for such innocent accidents to happen and be promptly put on tape. The more famous a celeb is, the more paparazzi and cameras are around her and the quicker the celebrity nip slip, when it happens, is broadcasted.

But why are paparazzi so crazy about shooting celebrity nip slips? Simply because nipples are “forbidden fruits” and that is what makes them so appealing and tempting. There is one thing that needs to be clarified though: nobody swarms for funny pictures showing male celebrity nip slips, because men shirtless pics are readily available anytime almost anywhere, while celebs women nips are not always willingly presented. One more reason for paparazzi to exist and do their job: taking funny pictures of celebrity nip slips on various places, such as beaches, red carpets or movie shooting places.

Some of the celebs are famous for their frequent nip slips. Take Lindsay Lohan for example! When it comes to celebrity nip slips, this young, artistically gifted and big tited actress rules! One occasional slip happen one night on the way to her car, while another “innocent” mishap occurred precisely during a televised show. These accidents granted miss Lohan the pool position in the celebrity nip slip competition and a lot of advertising. Naturally, we wonder: were they really accidents? Maybe at the beginning.

Have you ever noticed that the really funny stuffs that you can see on the really funny aprons out there are usually one-liners? The reason is that one-liners are the best types of jokes. They hit your funny bone with one or two punchlines and you remember them the best. Sometimes, you might remember the one-liners on funny aprons more than the recipes you should be memorizing and that means you won’t make it as a chef but you will make it as a stand-up joker.

That’s the problem with being a chef too nowadays – people don’t just want to be taught how to cook, they want their chefs to be comedians as well. And that’s a tough job requirement to impose on a chef who already has to work under a pressure cooker environment coming up with four dishes to cook at one time that all have to look great, taste great and are completely original. You can already hear the chefs out there whining “and you want me to be a comedian on top of all that? Come on!”

Yes, it’s true that being a chef is a hard job. And we shouldn’t blame them if they find it hard to be comedians at the same time. Sometimes, the best jokes are those that are unexpected, like when a chef forgets a dish is on the stove and accidentally burns it. At that point, your favorite chef might turn to his audience and say “maybe you should pretend you didn’t see that.” A great one-liner that all chefs should keep in stock, in case they ever burn a dish and ruin their reputations with one swift TV show episode.

Sometimes, one-liners can also bring down the spirits of even the most inspired chef. Like, imagine a judge tasting a new pizza made by a chef then telling the chef “you can’t seem to make up your mind whether you want to make a pizza or a sandwich.” Oh my word, how many chefs have been slain to the core by such one-liners. One-liners like that can really make a chef want to become a golf caddy instead – or at least find kinder judges to taste their work when necessary.

That’s where funny aprons come into the picture – the really funny stuffs placed on funny aprons (if they happen to be really funny stuff, that is) help the chef to feel better and lighten up the tense atmosphere created by too much steam from their cooking responsibilities and too much hype about the chef’s expertise. A chef who takes his crafts so seriously, that he would live or die by how his/her audience perceives his/her cooking, will either die of hypertension at an early age, or shame when he/she received disapproval on his/her cooking. For this reason, chefs have junior chefs on hand all the time, actually – they keep the chef from committing suicide when his dish fails to produce accolades. Did that sound like a one-liner to you?
